Assessment Officer Position Available

Come and join the QFKC Team and be part of the first Regional Recruitment, training and assessment team in Queensland.  This newly funded program will be responsible for the recruitment, assessment and training of foster carers in the Brisbane/Moreton region.  

We are seeking experienced practitioners in the area of carer training and assessment to come and join our team to deliver quality services.   

The key responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Complete professional assessments of carer applicants in accordance with Child Safety’s framework for assessment writing, meeting policy, legislative and procedural requirements. 

  • Provide professional response to carer applicants as required and or as requested by the Program Manager.

  • Preparation of written material for carer applicants involved in the undertaking of the assessment process within the boundaries of legislation and service agreement.

  • Preparation and delivery of Carer training to carer applicants in partnership with other key stakeholders. 

  • Participation in recruitment activities including but not limited to EKKA, online webinar forums, QFKC community stalls and other recruitment activity as prescribed by Program Manager.

  • Participate in other activities undertaken by QFKC (e.g. conference, dinners, EKKA etc.).

  • Collect data and provide periodic reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Management Committee as requested.

  • Assist in the review and development of QFKC policy regarding services to carer applicants and the organization.

  • Participation in recruitment activities including but not limited to EKKA, online webinar forums, QFKC community stalls and other recruitment activity as prescribed by Program Manager.

  • Participate in other activities undertaken by QFKC (e.g. conference, dinners, EKKA etc.).
